Nothing leaves the site that should not

Sustainability starts where our ingredients are made. Manufacturing runs in GMP-certified partner facilities, and these are the standards that partnership is held to, batch after batch.

Zero liquid discharge: process water is treated and recovered on site, and none of it leaves as effluent.

Effluent is monitored online and continuously, not sampled once and filed.

A clean-room facility keeps contamination out, so fewer batches are lost to it.

Our standard is that every batch is tested before release. A batch that is right the first time is the least wasteful batch there is.

Shorter routes, lighter footprints

Our chemists treat process optimisation as standing work rather than a one-off project, and we work with the global specialty-chemicals community towards sustainable solutions. Every step taken out of a route is solvent, energy and waste that never has to be handled.

Routes are revisited after launch, to make them shorter and more repeatable.

Catalytic reductions where the chemistry allows, in place of reagents that leave more waste behind.

Natural-origin grades in the preservative line: the VinShield Eco glycols.

VINCOL Biotones: colours drawn from turmeric, beetroot, annatto, berries, paprika and carrot.

Sized to what you actually use

Much of the waste in specialty chemicals happens after the drum leaves the plant: material bought in bulk, stored too long and written off. We work to plan our supply so that it does not happen.

Flexible minimum order quantities and small-batch runs, so customers buy what they will use.

Stock held at hubs in the UAE, Romania and India, close to the formulators who need it.

Vendors and suppliers are audited against our own standards.

REACH status published on every datasheet, with regulatory documentation on request.

Single-use plastics discouraged across our own operations.

What we owe the places around us

Heritage schools of Vedic learning (3 heritage schools supported, with more than 140 students): We contribute to traditional schools where students learn the Vedas the way they have been handed down for more than three thousand years: by listening, reciting and memorising, from teacher to student. UNESCO recognises the tradition of Vedic chanting as part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Our support goes to the everyday costs of teaching and caring for the students.

Villages (12 villages reached with food, books and stationery): In villages we donate food, and the tools a child needs to keep up at school: textbooks, notebooks, pens, pencils and the rest of a stationery kit. More than 2,400 of those kits have gone out so far. They are small things, but a missing notebook is often where a school year starts to slip.

Mid-day meals (40,000+ mid-day meals served to school children): We fund mid-day meals for school children. A meal at school keeps children in class, and keeps them able to concentrate once they are there.

Children’s education (180+ children helped to stay in school): We contribute to the education of children whose families would otherwise struggle to keep them in school, from fees and uniforms to the books a new term asks for.

The digital divide (60+ tablets and laptops given to students): We help children bridge the digital divide in education, so that a lesson that has moved online does not leave them behind.

A responsible company is part of a place, not only a supply chain, and making a difference in people’s lives starts close to home. Our giving stays in India, and it goes where a small, steady contribution changes an ordinary school day: food on the table, a notebook in the bag, a tradition kept alive.
